I performed the "EGR bye bye" on my 89 f150 302 i blocked the passages on the intake and plugged the lower tube. The power increase was seemingly massive. It breathes alot better. I would love to try this with my g10. I have read both that it wont hurt anything and it will burn my valves. Has anyone sucessfully done this? if so what are the power gains? i know that the egr system reduces the performance greatly on my truck i wonder how much it takes away from the g10?

The Egr on our cars only runs while the engine is cruising, you press the pedal and it shuts down.

Unless it's jammed on, then no, it won't affect anything except to improve your emissions and give you better fuel economy when putting aroung.
