ok so I have a 93 swift GA 5 speed. one day I was mad crusing going 60 in 5th gear and suddenly I heard a little pop. my hand was on the shifter and it became looser once I heard the pop. so I go into neutral to pull over but once I went into neutral the car was reving unusually high about 3500 rpm (I have no RPM just a shifting arrow). i pulled over shut off the car and inspected the engine and under it too and everything looked fine all hoses and sensons and oil lvls are fine. so i get back in and start up the car and its still reving high. put the car in 1st gear and once my shifting arrow lit up the car jerked BAD so i shifted to 2nd and once again when the shift light came on the car jerked bad! so for the rest of the way home i had to shift before the light came on otherwise it would jerk and also when i needed to stop i would go into neutral and the reving would pulse 1 2 3 and the 4th one it just stayed at a high rev.
so does anyone know what could be wrong?????
