On the 95-01 Swifts & Metros I noticed on the emergency brake housing, on the end there is a cut-out that can pop out. Now it looks like some sort of dome light or coin holder tray or something else should go there. Now maybe in another model line that used this same housing-Europe cars or Asian markets??? Just curious if anyone else has thought about this? Let me know if anyone can chime in. Thanks...

For the automatic there is a pull switch to allow the tranny to go into neutral just to the driver side of the brake handle. Is that what you are talking about?

Rear ashtray cut-out.
I removed my ashtray, installed led interior lights in its place.
the lock-out pin for the autos is at the front.

Well the cig ashtray is what I thought initially, but wasn't sure. I'm going to put another dome lite in that cutout, I already have one in the back-top(same one as the front). So now I'll be able to SEE inside the car at night when I open the doors, yea!
