I purchased my 95 Suzuki Swift (1.3l 8v sohc) in February for 150 dollars. The hood was folded about halfway up the windshield, no lights, bumper, and the airbags laid on my lap for the test drive. I was going to look the other way but by the time I hit 3rd gear during the test drive I was immediately hooked. For what it was I refused to invest any money into it, so I kinda pieced together, used scraps, and parts off random stuff to get to where I am today. As of now I have a 100cc 2stroke dirtbike muffler and coilsprings added to the rear shocks. 1 inch 5x4.5 wheel adapters and go back and forth between 15inch old school aluminum rims and 17 inch rims off a hyundai tiburon. the headlights came from a 95 toyota pickup, and the bumper was part of a oldschool bowflex. lmao i even use used oil from doing oil changes from our other 2 trucks. i have drove it as a daily driver and even hauled my dirtbike around since purchased 9 months ago. The only thing I have ever bought for it was wheelbearings all around at the 3 month mark. For the fun ive had putting it together and keeping it on the road, I can honestly appreciate and respect these cars. As my record for being cheap comes to an end, (ordered inner/outer tie rod ends, cv axles, and A arms), I know ill get every penny I invest.
