Anyone every try using the coil off of a Dodge Caravan? I did its pretty much bolt on they look almost the same but I find that it makes my revs climb quicker. I like I like, I got it off a 94 Dodge Caravan with a 3L mistubishi motor. By the way my revs go up now for sure it puts out a hotter spark. You can fine those at a scrap yard a dime a dozen. If anyone decides to try it out let me know what u think.

thanx

Steve

Putting this as a FAQ as it's a good upgrade. Hopefully others will give it a try and post up some more feedback on this.

I wonder how it work with an MSD. Good thing I don't have the engine together in my van yet.

i dont think it will work on my car.

I was in the wrecker this morning and the only coils i found on those vans looked completely different then mine. but i saw a 94 swift and the coil looked the same as the ones on the vans.

well its only for the DOHC engine, the the coil is off any 3 liter chrysler (mistubishi)van like plymouth voyager or dodge caravan.Llike ai said b4 it looks almost identical, except for the conections, u can u the same plug but u gotta tighten the the connection clips because there aren't any holding clips of the plug itself. If anyone wants I could take pics to compare the 2.
