[list=][/list]Please help!I have a Suzuki swift gti 1991. The engine speed goes up and down.I went it to a carmechqnic he said my air valve has problem. I want first to clean it how do I do that?what else should I check? now it works at 1500-2000 but it should be working at 900.

╬čbviously you mean the idle speed .
It is a known problem for gti, and the cold start valve.
You can either clean it or try to settings from the beginning.

The air valve that some people call the cold start valve can quickly be checked with short 90 degree hose off the end. When it is cold you can see that the end is open or pushed out, and when it is hot you can see that it is closed. There is a test in the FSM that involves removing and putting in water. However it is more likely that you have a faulty idle air control valve (front right side of throttle body intake). It could also simply be the idle adjustment screw under plastic rubber cap, or mass air flow sensor, or even a vacuum leek.

Or that the water isn't getting to the air valve and needs bleeding...
