Hello! I just buy a 1990 Swift GL and notice that there is a cutted hose near the rear bumper, but I don't really know what is its function of the little plastic piece attached to it. Don't know if is important or not. Thanks you very much.
It's the little red thing attached to chasis

I removed and cleaned it

This part is not present on North American cars. Can you see where the hose connects to, away from the red piece?

I don't know where the hose connect to because it was cut and hanging, and my Swift is japanese version. I don't really see what it's function is because the car works perfectly.

Looks like a vent for the gas tank.. Never seen one like that though.

I also own a JDM Cultus, and I there is nothing there that looks like your picture. The picture shows the line has been cut off going toward the rear of the car. Where does the rubber line go towards the front of the car?

Also, the part has some red paint on it but it appears to have been attached to the car for a long time, based on all the dirt on it. I do not think Suzuki uses plastic pipes for fuel purposes. I think the only plastic tubing they use is for window washer fluid. Does your car have air shock absorbers in the back?

I also think its vent for the gas tank. I saw in on my Euro spec Mk2 GTi when I was working on rear suspension. Couldn't tell you exactly where and how its attached to the car. Its close to the filler neck on the frame rail , I think . Its been long time =)

We have them on all our swifts here. We got our swifts destined for the euro market with minor tweaks.

It's the gas tank vent.
