Hi

I need help.........

I have had many mechanics and many auto elecs try and sus my problem but got no wher.

Its a mk2 gti engine fully rebuilt in a sierra
It drives awesome when it drives but it sometimes cuts out while driving.
Its like a switch is flicked and the whole car turns off.
The car stops, I pull over turn the ignition off and then crank it and it starts again.

I had an issue with my crank pulley coming loose and munting my key way but that's sorted now but since then this issue of intermittent stopping has started.

I have had many people tell me many different things of what it could be, its been at various auto elecs for weeks on end and I'm still up shit creek.

I thought that it could be a crank angle sensor but not for the life of me can I find it or any info on it.

I also thought it could be a dizzy issue, I just dont know and either does anyone else.

Any help or suggestions welcome.

Cheers

Electrical intermittent issues can be hard to track down.

Ground on intake Check that. On my swift it was loose and if you went around a sharp curve would shut off. When you would come to stop it would fire back up.

Thanks for the replys. I have checked all the earths/grounds. I think it might be a comp issue or a dizzy problem with a cam angle sensor.
