This issue is really odd... I ran out of ideas why it won't run.

1991 T3 engine into 92 Swift GA and it was running fine.... until the reverse polarity fried my first ECU with first engine. :?

Now I installed another T3 engine into my car... again... (long story) but It won't start.

Battery = good 12.8v and cranking at 9.6v
Starter = good as I test.
Fuses and relay = all is good as I check for many times. I don't know about diode unit tho... I found one at under the dash.... Need tool to test it.
ECU = good... no bad code throws but 12 as normal. I also swapped and still same problem.

Ignition system = seems good because I have spark on both spark plugs and distributor so I think Crank Angle Sensor (or pick-up coil in dizzy) is good.
Fuel System = seems good because
- new fuel pump and filter
- will test fuel pressure when outside is good and hopefully fuel gauge works. (yesterday I can't get a reading and today is bad weather so will do tomorrow)

THIS is very odd problem..
- injector will open ONCE at every first crank.... not from ON to START switcher...
- Injectors seems good... about 15ish ohm each. (use multimeter on each injector and ECU connector.)

Air system = seems okay?
- I can't test MAF but I already swapped 3 different MAFs. one aftermarket and other 2 stock MAFs.
- Turbo = should be fine because I didn't use same turbo on the last engine.

Honestly I don't think MAF is needed to be using to crank... maybe IAC and TPS? I believe both units are fine... but maybe not feedback to the ECU properly.

So what is the exactly problem? I believe ECU cut the fuel system for some unknowns reasons. Why the injector is not pulse but once at the first crank?

How were you able to test and confirm that the injector is pulsing only one on first crank?

Sorry this is old thread and I fixed it...

I connected the noid light into the FI wiring connector and cranks it.

Honestly I still have no clue... but I also didn't bother to find out why it did flash once because funny if the error is code 41 then noid should not flash as my friend confirmed.

Very unique issue

So what was your problem in the end, and how did you fix it?

After diagnosis and I can't find the culprit so I made my own ignition system and fired the engine without any issues...

Still no clue but I will find out the answer when I have time to go back to diagnosis later... I also guess the "noid flash once" problem is related with ignition system... Not too sure tho...
