Hello...
I was driving and my car died.
My injectors are not receiving any ground.
The OBD11 indicated that the Cam-Shaft sensor needed replacing (I did that already)
Still no start.
Can anyone provide me with a schamatics of the injectors please.

Non of the fuses are damaged

engine type? year?

BTW how do you test your injector? If you test it wrong and you fried your ECU.

1999 1.3lt Swift (4cyl automatic)
I tested the ohms of each injector individually (13 ohm per injector)
I tested the wiring for ground & power, one side giving 12 volts the other nothing.
on all 4 wire connectors individually

http://metroxfi.com/2008/11/geo-metro-a ... -diagrams/ and download the PDF.

Okay I know there is 2 fuses in older models. If fuses are okay then ECU is possibly failed otherwise there is a failure in the wire system.

Remember that the FI won't be function until ignition system is working properly.

My best suggestion, first check the error from the code and make sure the ignition system is work properly (you have spark.) Then read the diagram.

So far I have not found any bad FUSES

it sounds as if you have a failed open ignitor module.

the ecu expects to see a feedback signal as the ignitor fires. if it doesn't see this proving signal it shuts down active fuel injection so as to not flood the engine.

basically, the module under the distributor cap send a pulse to the ecu which serves as a timing signal for injection and ignition. if the ecu sees this timing pulse it begins to fire the plugs. when the ecu sees the spark event as a feedback loop from the ignitor which is mounted on the firewall near the coil, it begins to pulse the fuel injectors.

spark, fuel, and requisite compression are the 3 basics for the engine to run.

Excellent info
Thanks :alien:

One more question...
With a "distributor-less ignition", I ask, will the igniter modulator be mounted on the firewall or will it be in the ECU?

My swift came with a 16 valve, 1.3L, MPFI system.

It sounds like to me that my ECU went toast

North American spec G13BB 16V SOHC engines with MPFI (1998+) indeed relies on the ECU also known as the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) to process ignition reference pulses from the Crankshaft Position sensor (CKP) which then sends trigger signals to the ignition control circuits built into the ignition coil(s).

These cars do not have a separate igniter module mounted on the firewall, as found in some older models.

Thanks again Brothers...

I'll get my hands on another ECU and retest the entire system.

At least you guys take things seriously not like other BUTT_Holes that look at the doubts of others as if it were a joke.

God bless all y'all
