Can 100hp destroy a Centerforce I clutch? I do drive fast and hard but I never grind gears and my shifts are very smooth. I just had the clutch installed about 2 months ago and now it is giving me major problems. right I do not know if it was install improperly or if it was my driving that destroyed it. I just want to know if my 100hp engine could be strong enough to destroy a new clutch that went through 500 mile easy driving break in period with 30% more clamping force?

yea it's strong enough to destroy it. How were you driving, hard dumps, high rev shift? But 500 miles is not a lot to destroy it, maybe it was improperly installed.

There is the off chance you got a faulty part. It happens...but its less frequent.

Actually with centerforce it's possible. I read stories on few forums where cf sent the wrong parts to customers.

great. so it is the wrong part or it is a faulty part. i'll have to take tranny off to check. i hope the 90 day warrenty isn't up. i never did any high reving dumps on the clutch so i dont really see any reason that my driving destroyed it unless going 50mph on onramps onto the interstate destroyed it:P. i only do normal starts even in a racing.

Of the many automotive forums I've been to, I have yet to hear about a single postive review about Centerforce clutches.
