Hi guys,

I am working real hard lately on the vert. I sand on it everyday it seems. I need about a week or so untill it's ready for paint. It won't be totally ready for the meet though. It will still need a top and trim painting. Grr.

Ok so how many people are planning to show up? If no interest then I guess we can reshedule??

Let us know.

Jerry

I love burlington! Outlet mall and is the western doorway to Winthrop an old western town with boardwalks and old time saloons/stores! Very nice there this time of year!

Well I need to hear from at least 5 people or it won't be much of a gathering.

I would now like to make it Sept 2 or so as I need more time to work on the vert. It isn't in my name yet. Failed Emissions. It is currently in some disassembly for paint. Talk about your potential though. Rust Free!! Top has two holes in the window.

I am repainting it in yellow and painting the trim to butterscotch and then I gotta get a top like the one Jimmy had on his vert!

Anyways sept 2 works for me!! Burlington would be awesome for me as well!

Anybody heard from spt-3 lately?

Now that I have a sprint, I'd like to go to one of these "concourse d'swift" . How 'bout having one on the Canada side, since the dollar is dropping it'd be cheaper for everyone.

I would love to go to a local Swift meet! Right now is kind of a bad time to set one up unless we set it up way ahead of time. It would suck if it rained on the meet. Maybe we could do it in May or June.

May or June would definatley be best, and if we start the organization now people can plan for it.
question is location that fits all, some have kids others wives and girl friends.
a Park local where you can get food from nearby or bring your own picnic maybe?
anyone with ideas fire away.
those of you from the island also have to ferry over and that does cost money.
for the rest of us a drive is no problem.
crossing the border will take passports or ID.
all thes have to be considered to minimize financial impact for some members.

We should have the 09 meet in Canada, the last meet [ @ south center by seattle ] was cool. I think going to Canada would be a cool place to go to, also.....

Hey, long time no post! We actually put our Geo away for a couple years, but got it back out a while ago when gas was through the roof. The wife's been driving it to work ever since. The motor's leaking oil out the front seal and the syncros are gone on 1st and 2nd, but it still looks the same. I think a meet would be doable this year, but we don't have passports for a North of the boarder run... oh boy, there's a memory. Our last border crossing was years ago. Don't ever tell the border guard you're coming up to meet some folks you met on the internet! :P We were there for at last an hour, got our car searched and we got another round of questions. Then they almost wouldn't let us back in when we came back! I kinda felt like a red-headed step child that no one wanted.
