I won't be attending the meet (again)...

But for those that are - I STRONGLY urge you NOT to go to the forks for another drive. The road is amazing - yes. It is a very very nice area to drive spirited, but drive at your own risk. The local residents are known to be ruthless with regards to people driving and riding (bikes) in that area. Gravel is thrown on the turns to try and get people to wipe/spin out, the locals aren't afraid to throw things at you/your car, and the police are called RIGHT AWAY in most cases. There are always radar traps setup just over a lot of the hills - especially on weekends when people like to go there for a drive.
That area is well known around Ontario for that stretch of road, but consider yourselves warned. There are plenty of other/safer places to do this type of driving.

Also, on hwy 10, around the scales - there are always police. 75% of the time I drive by there, police are doing radar. I know someone who was charged with racing there at 2:30 am last year. He drove from Oshawa for the race, and got booked. Certainly not worth the drive/risk.

I hate to sound like a stick in the mud - but you must be very careful. If you want to drive like that - go to a lapping day. It's not expensive ($100-$250 normally, and that way it's legal/safe. You get to improve your driving without having to worry who's coming around the next turn. One wrong move on the street and it's over for you/them/passengers/etc, where as on the track you're in a controlled environment, not forced to make split second life depending decisions.

Anyways, have fun at the meet and take lots of pictures.
