We recently bought a 92 Geo Metro 'vert, and was wondering if there are any members in S.W. Florida.

some details about the car:

Gray with the original Red showing in a few spots
1.0l Carborated
I think missing some trim pieces in the area where the top rests when open.

DIRT SLOW. but great on gas.

Welcome aboard TeamSwift.
I'm up here in central Florida with a 90 red vert. I haven’t met any other vert owners but have seen 3-4 around in the last year. Looking for some replacement parts and upgrades my self. Will keep you in mind if I find any. If I ever get a weekend off maybe we can meet some where in between.

Good to see there are a few more florida members. I don't see too many verts down here either, but see quite a few hatches around. I've only seen 2 other verts in the last 2 years down here, one belonging to the guy's room mate that sold us our vert. (just wish he would have sold us that vert instead since its manual and this one is auto)

Who knows, the guy just beats it up, maybe if he kills it I can take it off his hands and convert over to manual.

If I ever get a chance, I think it would be cool to hang out with other Metros.

I've been to a couple of Ford Focus Get togethers with about 40 focus showing up and going on a cruise down hwy A1A. We got alot of looks with our hatchback Focus', I could just imaging a bunch of Metros rideing in a group like that.

Hi all
I'm thinking of all Florida meet at the end of January. It would be after the holidays and give some of us (me) time to put in for that day off from work.

For stephennmm/AWAgentX guys let me know and if I can get the day off I'd like to join in. Every Saturday there is a rod run at Old Town on 192 not far from 4 - always a good "free" evening.. I'm North of Clermont in Astatula (Next to Sugar Loaf Mountain-3rd highest point in FL).

Ok
Talked to Old Town and there are two options/dates. If we meet on the 25th( Fridays are 1973 or newer models and we can participate in the "Cruise"). The other is the 26th (Saturdays are 1972 or older models and we get to "watch" the cruise - not bad if you like older cars). For those of you who have never been to Old Town see http://www.old-town.com/ . Let me know which date works for you.
