Now I have 2 GTi's on the road and Jr has his N licence.

I think its time we have a get together late April on a Saturday or Sunday
Jr turns 18 on the 19th, and he wants to have a swift meet after that time
Although he works weekends a lot I think Saturday the 26th would be a great day to try get together.
Question is where and what time.

So start postin guys.
get on the band wagon at least we will have two cars. :-P

any suggestions where?
the border lineups are a little insane now the canadian dollar is kickin US butt! :-P
was 5 hrs northbound yesterday.
I don't mind coming accross the border if you get accross real early in the am.
the Burlington meet we had was pretty good and only a 60 minute drive from the border.
otherwise up here it will be probably a meet somewhere in Langley.
April is a busy month for me and I will not be available in May.
so if this dont happen then default will be in June sometime.

sounds great, except my 2000 fly will be no where ready for that... and I think my license is going to be revoked soon for getting 6 points with my 'N' licence when I flipped the 95 fly. I could always go with my dad

I don't see why you guys think you need a passport to come to Canada....

http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbpmc_2223.html
Quote:
LAND AND SEA TRAVEL
The following summarizes information available on the Department of Homeland Security’s website.

* CURRENTLY:
U.S. citizens need to present either (a) a passport, passport card (available in spring 2008), or WHTI-compliant document; or (b) a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, along with proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate.
* LATER:
As early as June 1, 2009, the U.S. government will implement the full requirements of the land and sea phase of WHTI. The proposed rules require most U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry to have a passport, passport card, or WHTI-compliant document.

I don't have one yet... (waiting on processing), but that doesn't stop me from heading south.

Count me in for the 26th, but I am busy on the other two weekends before so those are out of the question.

Peace Arch Park is a good suggestion.
Don't know if there are any overzealous border people that would cause us some grief.
But there are other options close by also, like Birch Bay
Keep votin an postin people, we can do this.

Another nice spot is Whidby Island west of Burlington.
The Fort there is an awesome spot can get windy, that why I like flyin my stunt kite there.
Also the gun s and bumkers there someone can get lost in.
Its looking like a south of the border meet so far.

The border is open 24/7 if you don't have to go through the commercial lane....

Where is still a good question, and now it looks like I may have to postpone myself to June.
I started the thread with an open date of the 26th saturday but may have to back out due to recent developments.
still trying to keep it alive, but I did say if things did not work out then June may end up being a better time.
I have asked for suggestions where, maybe someone can take this over and set up the date time and place.
restaurant or park is no matter to me an Jr, just get together for a few hours and try get it central for most to drive to.
it looks like Jr will be working on the 26th, so how does everyone feel about June or July?
