Was kind of funny on friday when I was cruising south center, I saw several metros running around and I wondered if any one was there for the next day meet although none of the cars I see from the pics are the same.

My Girl and I thought about eating at the red robins. damn that tv would of been cool :D , The sizzlers wasnt bad though. Hope to meet some of you members one of these days.

It was a good meet. Orej, I didn't have any problems at the border... but I go across it all the time so they see that in their system.

Really guys this was my valid excuse for not being there. Meet the Canine Boys. Its me, these guys and three cats. Look at my gallery and you will get the idea. You don't want to leave these guys alone for a minute.

i'm homebound for the same reason. at 5, my daughter fiona is most portable and road ready. all she needs is a potty break every couple of hours but she seems to inherited my wife's gypsy wanderlust.

the dogs are another thing altogether. those wee sneakin' beasties can't be trusted for a second if you take them out of their normal routine. even though they're both in the winters of their lives, they're still too hard to handle when it comes to transporting.

to get the three of us packed into the swift for even a weekend jaunt out of town makes for a full load. 2 dogs just wouldn't fit and we're too "bushwhacked" (ie - poor) to put them up in a kennel.

the meet looked like fun. the last one that was organized here had 2 cars show up - and both of them were mine!

You know, I don't mind being "tied down" to these guys. There has been many times that friends and family thought that I was crazy for moving around the states with my twin male calico's in tow (WA to OR to TX to OR). I am a softie for "rescue" animals and have placed over 30 animals with the help of my older sister. Even my parents thought I was crazy when I placed the cats (3) in a long term kennel when I went to Iraq. I spent $3000 but it was the cheapest around. I could not see getting rid of all my animals just because I was getting deployed. Besides, these are my kids.

I try to take the dogs for a walk every now and then but right now its just the Focus on the road and with a leather interior it's hard to fathom a toenail punching a hole into the seats! So right now we are limited to short jaunts with a blanket covering the seats. And, the pup just can't sit still yet!

So you see, I love my "family" and if I have to forego some things in life for these guys then oh well!
