All right guys its time for first Suzuki meet of the year . I've been talking to few guys on the board about getting together for a meet and this is what we came up with . Chickenfeet agreed to host the meet and make dyno at his Tha Shop available for us , for a great price I might add , $50 for 3 pulls . So three of us are driving from Arizona , Tsusuki from Vegas , Phil and Ed from Palm Springs of course Chickenfeet with his T3 and I hope few other people will find the time to come out and join us . Its time to find out what are these cars capable of and what improvements we actually made so far . Of course swapping "true stories" about dusting that EVO or Camaro are encouraged but mostly I'd like to see what everyone else is doing and how it improves performance of our cars .
Tsusuki will also make a post on SX forum so I'm hoping to see some hopped up SX4s show up too .
So the meet is on January 30th , 2010 from about 10AM till everyone had enough , especially Chickenfeet , but I would say 3PM . The meet will be held at Tha Shop located at 10149 Canoga Ave. unit 1 , Chatsworth , CA. 91311
Group from Arizona will be staying over night and we are planning to check out local canyon roads ( Mulholland dr. The Rock store and some others ) that afternoon and PCH next morning
So open your calendars and mark the date . Cant wait to meet you all there .

If you like, I can post this on GeoMetroForum on the main page to attract more people to come.

Is that OK with you?

Yes , please do . More the merrier . It would be nice to have someone with SOHC 16V Mk5 show up . I have one that needs TLC so some info exchange would be nice and I'm curios how much power they actually make . That engine looks like good candidate for forced induction

Well it would not be unheard of . Second pic is N1tro's and my car in Portland . Me and James drove well over 2000km that time to attend just to find out only N1tro showed up and only because we were coming . Rest of the Northwest gang was too busy to drive 20 miles to get there . Shows you who is enthusiast :D

On July 24th and July 25th 2010 I am hosting the 3rd Annual GeoPalooza in NE Ohio. We have people who travel from Va every year to the event. More info on http://geometroforum.com

I also posted the news about this meet on the main page and it will remain there until after the event.

Well what can I say . As with Northwest crowd Southwest crowd is waiting for sign from God to commit to meeting . Everyone is waiting for someone else . So there is no numbers . My two guys in AZ cancelled and no one else showed any interest . Just talked to Tsusuki , Phil and Ed and Chickenfeet . They are still willing and ready but we were thinking on canceling or rescheduling since no one else showed any interest . Not much of a meet with 3 cars present .

Two memebers from SX4Club.com will be there. One of them is "punksmurf" who has a 285hp turbo conversion! There will likely be more coming. Everybody spread the word....all are invited.

Regards,

Well it looks like we are all set for Suzuki meet at Tha Shop . It took guys from Suzuki SX4 forum to save it . It will be smaller one then I hoped for but ............Tsusuki is coming from Las Vegas , Phil & Ed from Palm Springs , myself from Phoenix , two guys with turboed SX4s from LA area and of course Chickenfeet is our host at his Tha Shop with his new project Mk1 T3 . We should be there around 10AM on this coming Saturday till about 3PM . We'll have some dyno&tuning time , lots of talking Suzuki's and some take out or delivery lunch . If anyone is up for it I was planning a cruise on Mulholland to Rock Store for dinner or something along those lines . Locals will point us in right direction and if they have time maybe even lead us .
Everyone is invited , bring your friends . Lets hang out , have a good time and plan next meet bigger and better .............

I wont be able to make the trip, as I can't switch my shifts as there mandatory with the olympics and all. I also have Ball hockey playoffs on sunday :(. After the Olympics would be great. It'd be cool to make a central location between vancouver and LA meet.

I've suggested Reno , NV. or maybe Eureka NorCal long time ago but no one ever showed any interest . Those places would be centrally located , sort of . Just imagine how hard it would be to get more then 2 cars together in a place that takes some planning , free time and money from everyone . People hour away from this meet don't want to bother . If there is interest I'd be game for something like that . Maybe late spring , May ?
Lets not get ahead of ourselves , let see how this meet goes and then maybe we can start thinking about it .

Come on up , we'll be testing and tuning . Got to get some hard numbers for these little monster machines . I'm curious about my Mk1 GTi . Every article I read claims same hp numbers for Mk1 and Mk2 GTi but just looking at the set up its hard to believe . Also want to test effect of rotating mass on performance . Stock tires and wheels against 15s .
