Hey, I am in need of an engine hoist for a couple of days for either tomorrow or friday
pulling and engine out of my swift. If anyone has one near me Im located in Vaughan, I can give a security deposit but will need it back :P If anyone has one and maybe is willing to help me out that will be great.

I borrowed a friends climbing rope and used the c-clamp I use for disk brake pads to both pull and install my "New" eBay engines delivered on a pallet. Take lots of pictures for later. Remove the bonnet/wires/hoses/manifolds, use the 'loops' on the engine, support it with a floor jack, unbolt. Make sure your friend weighs at least 110 lbs. Lift, take up slack, repeat as necessary. Roll car out from under engine.

The engine weighs 100 pounds more or less. Less without the manifolds and alternator. You can do a rebuild with the engine installed, so I've heard.
