Hello everyone, an early new year post for a teamswift meet was in order. We can narrow down exact dates when people start to know there schedule a bit better.

Last year i got the racing bug at the Mission raceway. Maybe we can have a meet at the track and show some suzuki support as I know I was the only suzuki owner around near the tail end of the year.

Remember you get to vote twice, one for time, another for location....

UPDATE: so we've decided it will be in seattle. now for just the Dates. I figure we should try and have the date locked in by April 20th.

So here's a poll for the exact dates when you are available. Vote twice so we pick a weekend and which day.

Now there is a good incentive for after April so we can welcome home Paul from Iraq

I had a great time last year in Seattle meeting fellow teamswifters.
Having it in late Spring, early summer increases out chances of better weather and the opportunity to walk around, share information, kick tires, and tell stories. Maybe we can even have a trunk swap meet?
Seattle is a good venue for us Oregonians(well at least for those of us in the north), allowing us to make the round trip in one day.
Just my thoughts.

Awesome good to hear, it seem's there a lot of interest in seattle so I think that'll be the main location. Now we just have to find a definite time frame for everyone.

So what is the date?
I am headin for Oregon weekend of May 15th would prefer it be before that weekend or after the 23rd of May
Note May 29th weekend is a long weekend for the US
I beleive the 31st Monday is Memorial day.

previously the poll had 3 people for the 3/4weekend of april and 5 for the 1/2weekends of may, so I just want to make sure everyone looks at the dates again than we'll nail it probably within a weeks time.

So head count who will be making it May 1st?
Have a ton of work to do on my new car and some repairs on Ol Red.
if we not gonna have a good run we need to postpone till June or July.
I have 2 cars and drivers will be there if this happens.

We may just drive down anyway to meet Swifterthanu Paul now he is back from Iraq.
Make him feel at home with us Teamswifters.

so who is in?

Too late to vote in the poll, but Sunday would have worked better for me since I'll have to carry the agency emergency callback phone that weekend and there's not much going on to trigger a callback on a Sunday.

Michael & I weren't able to get Dust Bucket (http://www.teamswift.net/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=43561) ready in time for the trip up there last year, but weather permitting, it'll be there this year.

I just realized, that's 2 weekends away...
Guess I better yank the car cover off and start getting it ready for the road trip!

Is this going to be in Southcenter again at the old Levitz parking lot?

FYI, Metro Mike has informed me that the annual Alternative Energy fair is going on the same day in Lacey (Olympia area), (next to where I work actually), about an hour south of the Southcenter Levitz location. He'll be "racing" two vehicles for the highest MPG trophy. I plan to swing by there on the way to the meet unless...
folks wanted to relocate the gathering to the greater Olympia area!

Just thought I'd throw it out there for consideration. It's no biggie for me but would add an easy 100 minutes to the round trip commute for anyone coming from the north!

Sorry guys I won't be able to make it this year. I bought a 05 Smart Cdi a couple of months ago and on a bad day racing around in it, I get 72 mpg. When I slow down and pay attention to my rpm I can get the low 80's. I just bought a chip remapping program off fleabay and plan to remap the ECU this weekend. I'm going to drive my metro and have the wife drive the Smart and should be able to take 1&2. My first year I did 65mpg and the last couple of years I've been close to 70mpg, this year I'm hoping to break into the low 70's.

I was going to the "GeoPalooza West" in Reno, but our TV broke and the money I was going to use for the trip will be used for the new TV.

I will be at the Southcenter meet on April 30th, 11am if is is going to happen there. Going to Olympia would be a good side trip...........
