Hi all,
I recently bought a 97 Metro, 3 cylinder, with some issues. It smokes, runs rough, barely starts and the clutch is about to go. I'm pretty sure the engine problem is due to bad exhaust valves. Since I heard it's hard as heck to try to replace the clutch with the engine still installed (trying to maneuver the tranny around and such), I'm going to pull the motor and do a mini-overhaul (replace the head, hone the cylinders and put in new rings and rod bearings). If anyone wants to join, you're more than welcome, free drinks and food.
Live a little northwest of DFW airport.
