Hey, i have a 99 Suzuki Swift . with a 1.3l vin 2S2AB21H2X6601335
Needed to know if a motor from a 99 Geo Metro would work?
Was sure it would, since all its other parts are interchangeable. but the place where im getting the motor from just called me back and said he wasnt sure .

Anyone hae any experience in such?

should be identical, as long as its the 1.3 and not the 1.0

they both should be multi-port fuel injection with coilpacks
if they both are, you're good to go. the mk5 1.3 blocks are the same

98-01 Metro/Swift 4 cyl motors are the same. The Metro was available with a 3 cyl also.

100% the same, but you better clarify that they are both 1.3 4cylinders. The swift will be 1.3 only option, but the metro can be 1.3 or 1.0. That maybe the confusion. The parts guy may be looking at a 3cyl and correctly telling you it won't swap directly. What happened to your 1.3? They are super tough little mills!
