Ok I've been thinking about doing this swap ever since I've heard about it.
I got the 1.6 sohc 16 valve in the car, and it rips just fine. But with the twin-cam head on what kind of hp gains are we talking?
If anyone has this done I really wanna talk to you.
Show me the way.
And who has the parts I need? I have cash money!

I havent done it myself, but ive heard the stock twin cam head can be restrictive and does require porting and polishing, id also upgrade the Crank to integra type r as its much stronge, and have the engine bored and stroked to 1700cc to make full potential, bruce aka gypsidigi is using a G16 block with twincam head, might be worth pming him on his project

in my travels with gypsidigi.....i would have to say that i wouldnt bother to PM him as his setup is 100% nothing stock......he is going for a complete buildup where he is no longer even at 1600cc......his head is just as crazy....will be.... as his bulletproof block.

Just so I understand - you're suggesting a Honda Integra crank in a Suzuki G16 block?

dammit, now they are all gonna do it...

There is an article I posted on http://www.redlinegti.com from a local performance magazine.
Its been done, It works, and the car it is in, a little 4wd cultus, makes suby and evo owners cry. It also has quad TB's etc etc.

Lots of guys have done it now.

I perfer the DOHC 1.3 with a cold air intake, cam, exhaust work, and a chip. It's alot less work than just doing a stock 1.6 w/gti head swap.

Im just working on this very conversion at the moment, crank and block are at the machineshop.
Honda guys have nicknames for certain conversions... ie Mini-me etc
Considering some of the choice words of discouragement ive recieved on Redline at the mere mention of this, ill hereby christen it: The Grail Engine

The I.T.-R. is a 1.8; Aren't they 'spose to use some variety of D-16 crank?(1.6) I'd like to do up a 1.6 engine after I retire. Bout thirty years from now...when I have the extra Moolah.
