The Opel Corsa 1.0L or 1.2L is a DOHC head 3cylinder which may fit the G10.

 Will it fit straight in..... It seems to have a coilpack unit 'monoblock', a la SAAB. Anyone have the full spec??

"Corsa now benefits from fuel-saving TWINPORT engines for both the 1.0 litre 12v three- cylinder.
Fuel consumption is considerably reduced through the employment of a variable intake manifold and high exhaust gas recirculation rates.

Its smaller 1.0 litre 12v brother was already one of the most economical petrol engines around. With new TWINPORT technology even less fuel is consumed, returning 53.3mpg on a combined cycle. At the same time, TWINPORT also promotes stronger power delivery (Eh??)"

Anyone any thoughts........

8) I got this content from the Opel dealer site.....

Engine Data: Z10XE

Engine, location >> front, transverse in front of axle, 7deg fwd inclined.
Cooling system >> with liquid, sealed circuit
Cyl, no >> 3
Bore(mm) >> 72.5
Stroke (mm) >> 78.6
Displacement (cc) >> 973
Comp ratio >> 10.1:1
Engine, type >> in line, 4 main bearings
Cyl block/head, material >> cast iron/aluminium
Camshaft(s), location >> 2 overhead (DOHC), driven by chain
Valve train >> roller rocker with hydraulic bucket tappets
Valve arrangement >> V : 4 per cylinder
Valve adjustment >> automatic – hydraulic
Fuel system >> seq MPFI, Motronic ME 1.5.5 hybrid
Ignition system >> electronic, ign map, ign coil direct-to-plug
Output(HP)@5600 >> 58
Max torque(Nm)@3800 >> 85

This NOT correct (even for Opel!!) the service suppliers list a toothed belt for the X10XE – unless the Z10XE is different with chains… don’t see that much reengineering myself??

Still.... Is it worth having a go a fitting one??

:thwack: Ahh yes......

A quick look on Ebay turned up a 'chain kit' for the Agila 12v 1.0&1.2.

So, then, does anyone know if a Vauxhall 3cyl is a Suzuki 3cyl (G10) with 12V - and will it fit??

BBJ :?:

:thwack: I spent an hour looking for the rest of the pictures but coudn't find them. I know I have them and I've seen them (saved on a cd somewhere). I know there is even one where you can view the complete car with an open hood. I'll keep looking for them today.

Knuckles, I think it was a Forsa (mk1 swift).

Dattman, I know I have pictures of that particular engine, just can't find them yet.

I know the owner of the G10 twin cam 12 valve. He is from Quito Ecuador, he cut the G13 cylinder head to suit the 3 cyl. Also placed 2 geo metro 1.0 cams in order to work the same way 3 cyl. It is a wonderfull car. It is a swift mk1 also named suzuki forsa GA. I think it has almost 95 hp with modified camsm lifters, valves, pistons. Double weber
