**update** fuddling over either getting a G13b swap in now and doing what I cna to fix it up, or still get the G10t and complete tear down and build back up with all forged 90% custom parts race build. Gimme some opinions guys.

**Update** The G10t swap isn't seeming to fall through and parts for a G13B are popping up like crazy for a easy and readily available parts for the swap to happen, so if all goes well, I should soon have the G13B motor on order from a co-teamswift member on here. Kudos to him, he's been a great help so far on all the parts I've been needing and he seems to pop up with them at just the right moment. So it looks like this little MK4 is going to be getting some steroids pumped under the hood, Turbo G13B All the way!!!

Better be putting an order in with Turbine Tech! You'll never hit 12's without a TON of boost.

A ton of boost  No way, was told that it would be possible with round abouts 12psi.

**Update** Still waiting on the motor, but things are starting to prep for everything that'll be happening, as soon as Income Tax returns get here my baby is coming off the road and getting a heavy overhaul, just hope the motor will be here by then.

**Update** Got in part of the motor (Intake, wiring harness, MAF sensor, alternator, among other parts, not the whole motor yet), Found axles and everything else I needed, just need ideas on what turbo to go with and where I can get a turbo manifold.

Well everyone, the project is not dead, and won't be for a long time, Currently I have some questions, how the hell do you pull the seats out of the car, its in some serious need of some TLC cleaning, and further more I finally got some nice parts thanks to a great swift member in houston texas I managed to get my hands on a pair of GT axles that look practically new, 2 GT trannies(still gotta pull them out of the bags to see what kind of condition they're in), and all the rest of the engine mounts I need, so on a recap I have all engine mounts, wiring harness, ECU, GT axles and 2 GT trannies, just recently heard from Hillbillyswift on my motor that it was sitting in his garage forgotten and he walked in there seeing it crated up nearly shit himself, lol, so I am working out plans on what to do, who knows, you boys up north might have a US MK4 Metro headin up your way to Dunnville to pick up a G13B motor, still need to order my Koni struts and H&R Racing Springs, other then that the only part I am missing is a MK3 GT cluster. This project is so close to finally hit the ground that I am getting goose bumps, also, just the other day I put in a new radiator, nice and clean looking, lol, old radiator had a huge hole in it that you could fit nearly two golfballs through, no idea how it got there.

Two bolts under the front, two bolts in the back on the tunnel, and one bolt right down on the side. Open the door and look down for that one. 5 bolts total on each seat. They are light. Make sure you center the seat rails after unbolting them. Makes getting out easy.

EDIT: Don't forget to disconnect the wire for the seat buckle

Check list of items so far:

G13B motor: Check
Sport Racing Struts/Springs: Need to be ordered
195/55/R15 Tires: Check
GT Axles: Check
GT Tranny: Double check
GT motor mounts: Check
GT motor accessories (Coil pack and so on): Check
GT Seats: Waiting on confirmation
GT ECU: Check
Exhaust prep: Check
4 cyl cluster w/ tach: Check
Exhaust Manifold w/ turbo port: Need to find
New Radiator: Check and installed
Engine Management for turbo applications: Still looking (Settling with Megasquirt V3)

I believe that's everything so far, if anyone has any suggestions on what else I may need, lemme know, or even if you know where I can get something that I am still missing. This project will soon be under way. I will be taking the motor to be sleeved at Z10 Motorsports, it will be tunned at East coast Precision Tunning, and the motor will be put in (hopefully) by Shore Motorsports.

do you have the 4 cyl shift linkages? there different then the 3 cyl ones.

trying to think of anything else that we swaped over when we put the gt engine in my car,

what are you doing for the wiring harnesses? is the shop going to be making them and getting it to work with the stock body harness

I have the engine wiring harness, yes, but I didn't know about the shift linkage. Thanks for the the FYI, and I just realized I need a fuel pump too.

Like how so? Gimme a little more info on your question, not quite sure what you're asking.

Ok here goes, i have a 96 geo metro (i think thats the mk5?) i was wondering if all that stuff(engine mounts, wiring harnesses, axles, etc.) would need to be swapped to get that engine (G13B) to fit into my car? (used to wrenching on things, just not on cars yet).

Also what is the power/efficiency difference between the g13b and a 3cyl turbo engine? would one be more of a direct replacement? ie less other things in the engine that would need to be changed?

Another thing i was wondering(a little off topic), i read about all the modifications increasing power and such, what kind of gas mileage do you end up getting?

Alright, well, to answer your question about the G13B, you need the following. The motor, 4cyl axles (GT preferably), better suspension, better fuel pump, shift linkage, 4cyl tranny (GT tranny preferably), full set of 4 cyl engine mounts (GT are beefier), Engine Wiring harness, G13B ECU, and possibly the dash wiring harness.

The 3cyl turbo is a little bit easier, all you need for that is the Motor, the Engine Wiring harness, the ECU, and possibly the dash harness, and a better tranny if you want.

As for power, the G13B blows everything away, it's a great engine and really powerful especially when turbo charged. The 3cyl turbo is a powerful engine too, just won't ever be able to reach as much power as the G13B. As for my gas mileage, I am not sure what I get at the moment, sorry.

another thing your missing is the gt front wheel hubs, you can use the axels from a mk4/5 4cyl and your stock hubs

Oh, really? Damn, the stock 3cyl hubs and what not won't fit the GT axles? This is a problem because my car is already in the shop, up on the lift and the motor is out already, took it in yesterday.
