I don't know if this belongs here, but this section seemed to be the closest I could find. If not please move or let me know where it belongs.

After a trip up to Lufkin area, I picked up a metro3 from Kinkie here on the board, Thanks for the deal, I needed this to continue getting ready for my rock trip in September.

I stripped the none essential items removed and then bolted it directly to the sami transmission, it works perfectly except for one small tab that needs to be removed for the starter to bolt up.

Doing this swap gained me a LARGE amount of room to move the motor forward so I can stack a second transmission (Ford T-18 w/ dana 20) transfer case behind my factory trans on a stock wheelbase sami.

I will continue to post pics during the process unless it is an issue with this site, it not being a metro/swift build. I am going to be getting the cam/ head econo package to hopefully accent the propane setup that I am installing on it. I am having the flanges made for exhaust and intake so I can custom make my own to suit my needs of propane and header design.

I am having the flanges made out of 1/2" steel and was wondering if it would hurt anything to delete the EGR tube? I am not going to be using water tubes in the intake either, I am running propane and the mixer has its own water lines to simplify everything. Will it hurt the head to just block off the passages leading into and out of the intake?

Sounds like a cool project.
Keep us posted!
You should be fine blocking off the EGR.

Cool swap! Did you have to do anything special with the electronics?

Special? Not really, just made the engine harness/computer feel like it was still in the sprint... only a few wires to mess with.
