i am planning to swap an engine from a 91 turbo sprint into a 95 firefly. i have searched for a while and cant find anything too specific, so i am hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. i have never done an engine swap before, and dont want to forget anything. basically i guess i swap anything thats different? and i will need to change the engine computer right? also the car i am swapping the engine into was taken off the road after the suspension broke, resulting in an axle snapping, so can i swap the tranny and axles and suspension and still use the 95's brakes? (theyre bigger) or would it be easier to use the brakes off the turbo in that case?

PS: i should probably add that the 95 firefly is a n/a 3cyl.

I am not 100% sure but you may have emmissions issues with aircare, as 92 and newer have much stricter emmissions requirements than 91 or older.
I was told its why they never made a 92 turbo car.
you will need the wiring harmess and ecu from the turbo car.
and it will be a tough job trying to adapt the wiring to the new car.
You will also need a better intank fuel pump to feed the injection system.
It can be done with a lot of work, but it may never be passable with aircare.
Your 95 is OBD II and the Turbo is OBD I.
You will also need wiring diagrams from both cars and a lot of study to see what can be adapted and what can't.
