I have ended up converting a n/a sprint automatic convertible. To a Turbo manual Sprint convertible

I dont have any fancy pictures of the conversion, But after tinkering for about 2-3weeks it's in the final stages. I finally figured out what i was going to do for the auto/manual mounting for the tranny. I drilled the 4 holes for the manual mount through 2 layers of the frame. Im not sure if this will hold, or whether or not it will buckle in. I was pondering the idea of using foam and filling the inside where the bolts go through.

I turned the engine over, but it seem's it will not start without the Turbo fuel pump. I was scared i had not done the timing right, but double check and re-set the belt. Still the same outcome, it'll rotate but wont fire.

And so i wait for the fuel pump.

Always make sure you have everything for the conversion, as it is a real pain in the arse if you leave components out.

:)

yep thats all hooked up. It rotates, i think its the fuel pump that i need to put, since its still n/a one. though turning over seem's a bit loud.

Drill larger holes in the wheel well and put nuts on those bolts. Or drop your transmission on the road.

I used the factory bolts. I just drilled the outer holes so I could get a nut and socket in there.

When you bring the turbo secondary harness into the car normally theres a clutch and brake 2 pin connectors that run to the clutch and brake.

trying to use the automatic n/a secondary harness it has 1 4pin connector going to the brakes. I have taken the 4 pin's out and hooked up 2x 2pin connectors to hook up to the clutch and brake. Do these wires even do anything anymore? have i missed something?

According to my '93 Metro service manual, the white/yellow and green/white wires are for the brake lights and the orange/black and green/black wires are for the automatic shift lock solenoid.
