Does anyone know, or hae access to, the 92-95 Sidekick ECU's? Curious if ituses the same plug/pni-out as my 94 GTi. Considering MS (because of cost) and they show listings for the 92-95 Sidekick 1.6.

Help?

listings for MS? you won't get a plug in MS for your sidekick, unless you are talking about putting an MS into a spare ECU case.... and beware, there is a large ceramic disc capacitor that needs to be soldered in flat (at least up enough to be able to bend it to horizontal) instead of vertical or the MS board will not fit in the ECU case....

The new DIY PNP's. They list the 92-95 Sidekicks. I know they use a different plug all together....I was curious on how similar the pinouts were.

I'm pretty sure that its very different, also note that unless things have changed recently they only have an adapter loom and they have never actually run one on a Sidekick, the Sidekicks cam in 1.6 8V TBI (MAP) and 16V MPI (MAF) plus the Sport. You can download the Sidekick 16V ECU schematics here:

You can do on the fly tuning of a Swift GTI ECU using an EPROM emulator.

I almost got into the emulators with my old GM PROM's with my TBI Trucks. Sold my last one before I bought the hardware. More info on that would be greatly appreciated if you have it handy. I'm in need of an ECU regardless ofwhat way I go at this point. If I can finds a cheaper alternative that provides similar resoults I am all for it.

I am looking for as close to 100whp as I can get with a FLAT power curve. THe previous chip of unkown origin was dead below 4200, then flipped a switch and was decently strong until 7k. Weak springs and followers likely caused the power drop at 7k. This winter's head rebuild, new HLA's, new oil pump and computer tuning are what's slated for spring time.
