Help please guys.

You may have had this thread hundreds of times before, if you have please direct me to them.

I have a 1999 Wagon R 1.2 and I understand there are other Suzuki engines I can swop to, I need more power and hope you can help.

Thanks

This forum is mostly North American based, they don't get very many small cars, they don't even get the new swift which is Suzuki's most successful car ever.

Try http://www.suzuki4u.co.uk or http://www.redlinegti.com.au redline is the sister site to this, it might be Australian but there are still some nice people on there :rollin:

The Wagon R has not been seen over in North America, unless you import one from Japan.
We do have Suzuki Carry's here in BC, as a few people have imported them.
But not much is known about their drivetrain and compatability with other Suzuki Engines.
Parts are not readily available, and unless a member has owned one and pulled it apart to see what is similar to our swift products.
Nobody will know what good ol Suzuki has used to build the Wagon R.
I have heard somewhere not confirmed they have Turbo charged versions, and that the 1.0 3Cyl is used in them.
you need to find an enthusiast in Japan who knows a lot about them, to answer your questions.

Also I think the Suzuki Alto is in the same family, you may find more info using that as a search.

I know they had 4 cylinders in kei-size cars, but they were 1000cc, making them non-kei cars. it was the F family, like our cappo engine it's a F6A turbocharged. they made turbo F10A engines too but that was a 4 cylinder. there's not much info about these engines on the net. I never tried searching japanese pages, maybe that would give better results (with google translator maybe?)

My guess is that you have a (very big) K series K12something... maybe it's a very small M series too...

That could be a GM engine, the Wagon R is also known as the Vauxhall Agila, try looking under the bonnet of a 1.2 Corsa to see if its the same.

I think it's a K12A engine, the K10 wagon R was still classed as a Kei class car as they widened the criteria for the class, K12 model was sold in some RHD export markets like UK, OZ & NZ
