My friend and I are cruising around a relatively large junk yard (for the back wood location). We go here because parts are cheap, and can find just about anything. So we find an 05' Dodge SRT-4, looked like it had something relatively large shoved up it's back end. We figure one of my Metro verts and it might just be a compatible match for each other, but were just not sure.... How many people have actually managed to put an SRT-4 engine in a geo metro vert? if any?

True, but there is a lot more hot rod in that engine than in your 1.3 liter. Nearly double the displacement, to start with... plus the SRT-4 motor is one of the easiest to upgrade because of the massive Mopar support.

Still seems like a pipe dream to me, quite frankly...

You should join the Shelby/Dodge Auto Club
http://www.sdac.org/

You don't need a Shelby

and join the following forum
http://www.turbo-mopar.com

There are members putting the SRT4 motor into the k-car station wagons and even mini-vans. My SRT4 weighs about the same as the 87 Voyager I used to have. We have already crunched the numbers and if we put the motor from my 12 second SRT4 into my 84 Horizon (about 1000 less lbs) it should run high 10s in the quarter and my current Horizons 23 mpg should go higher thsn the 33 I now normally get in the SRT4!

Ill just say with it that it would be a bit difficult to use the turbo sense it is built into the heared. The ehaust housing is the hot side of the turbo
