 Post subject: g10 to g13b SOHC swap

i just got a reaaaally :shock: amazing deal on a g13b engine, twincam axles, custom crossmember, wriring and ecu

i was wondering do i really need the shift linkage from a 4 cilinder even if i have a custom crossmember??
and also what ECU will be plug and play?

Wiring will need to be swapped out, different sensor set, and the shift linkage must be changed since the 4cyl has the linkage on the opposite side of the shifter as the 3cyl.

i got a wiring harness and ecu of a 1.3 so i dont think theres any issues with that, the thing that worries me is the shift linkage. but i was cheking things out and i thing i can modify my current one....you say the linkage is on the opposite side???i dont get that

yes i talked to him but he said that couldn't do it becasue he has too much work but he gave me the phonenumber of another guy in camuy who can do it in summer, thanks anyways :!:

started the engine swap! got some problems with the long axle...the part that goes bolted to the engine wont fit for like 1/4 inch and we wont force it in because we dont want to damage the transmision....any help would be apresiated

looks to me like that is an 1.6L engine from a suzuki esteem. reasoning is the extra linkage on the throttle body for cruise and the boxy design intake plenum.

is a 1.3 SOHC 16V engine from a japan spec suzuki swift gesta. that is how you know it is from japan, the intake manofold and TB are from a baleno(esteem) 1.6 and of course it has to say made in japan.

have had some problems with the custom crossmember, and custom shift linkage, also de exhaust manifold rubs with the radiator fan.
