Hi all,

I've been searching on here for info in relation to putting a G16B Vitara head on G13B block and can't find much. Please don't flame me if there is, I've been on forums for quite a while and know how the search button works

The reason behind it is that the engine is going into a Datsun 1000 and engine bay room is quite limited. The SOHC head gives more room and the advantage of when I set-up a turbo on it, the bigger ports should help with air flow. Also running a G13 Sierra (Samauri) gearbox (to convert to RWD)

I have all of the parts (well most of at this point) including:
G13B - complete block, ECU, wiring, air flow sensor,
G16B - Head, intake manifold, injectors, TPS, exhaust manifold, O2 sensor.

My big questions are:
1. Which ECU to use? I'm assuming that the G13B ECU should be able to run it, however are the sensors compatible?
2. Which belts to run? G16B? G13 SOHC?

I think that the electrical issues are going to be the hardest to overcome. I've got both wiring diagrams, but things such as the 4-wire TPS on the Vitara vs 3-wire TPS on the Swift have started to throw a spanner in the works.

Thanking you all in advance. If I can get it all up and running, I'm sure I can do a write up for the information of those interested in undertaking something similar.
