I have a 1992 swift 1.3 sohc 5spd with locked engine .Will a gti short block work in place of sohc 1.3?? Till I can get sohc built.

I knew that you would have problems using 1.3 sohc short block with dohc head.But did not know the other way. Thank you for your reply
