I have a 1990 Suzuki Alto 0.8 Three Cylinder two speed automatic! What engine swaps, in order of easyness are available to me. Many many thanks in advance, I live in England, so am limited, what engines require the least work to fit in terms of salvaging existing engine mounts and keeping the auto box or changing autobox and engine but keeping driveshafts. I am happy to muck around converting injection engine to carbs, but would prefer not to have to change the gearbox. Many thanks. I appreciate this forums knowledge, so please help me someone.

Would be happy for 1.3 etc

You should take a look at a Deawoo/Chevy Matiz engine, that has the F8C, which is a modern version of the F8B in the Suzuki Alto. It has bigger valves and multipoint fuel injection and delivers 52hp stock. By the way, the engine isn't the only part of the Matiz that's the same, a lot of the front suspension is also bolt-on. I've done a bit of research because I plan to do the same one day. I already have the Alto.
