pat, i know i've seen a couple of these in past projects. the g13bb was the culmination of the g13 engine and as far as my experiance with it goes, it is a bullet proof engine with very sophisticated engine management.

there would be some oddities that would have to be worked around. the engine management used up and down stream o2 sensors, had an odd pressure switch on the fuel system, an air bag control set integrated into the ecu, etc. i would imagine that a gt/ turbo3 fuel pump or it's equivalent e8023 fuel pump would work to supply the proper fueling.

there would be wiring issues but nothing insurmountable. the engine mounts, axles, etc. would pretty much be a drop in swap. i was thinking that <thedad> cliff had a vert running a g13bb at one time.

I've been wanting to do this swap but haven't found an mk3 for the right price.

There shouldn't be any SRS tied into the engine control. I'll look tomorrow.

Last time I was looking at the ecu wiring diagram I don't remember seeing anything for the air bags running to it but will look again next time I'm at the shop.

The fuel tank pressure sensor should hopefully be able to be tricked with a resistor as far as I can tell its just there to activate the check engine light if the fuel cap is improperly sealed.

The biggest wiring hurdle is getting the mk3 combo switch working with the mk5 harness.

Could always overlay the mkv engine harness and use the existing body harness for everything else.

Once you gut and modify the harness its only a few power and ground wires.

That was my first thought. the mk5 has the ecu on the right hand side of the car and the connectors are in weird spots compared to an mk2/3. Would have required alot of splicing and extending wires all over the place.
