I'm installing my Swift Overhead Dome/Clock into my '94 Metro, and need someone to point me to where to tap into the ACC and Dimmer circuits, preferably at the fuse box. I have the constant 12v and grounds hooked up at the clock. Two wires run down the passenger side A-pillar and under the dash to the fuse box area. No existing harness in my car, so that isn't an option.

i ran a peice of cat5e and doubled up the pairs, you can even run some 18/4, i fished it up using a fishtape, and i tapped into the existing clock wiring on my gt which was under the radio, but if its a metro not sure if they have the clock plug, you can use the radio wiring for all the wiring if you want.

No plug. Hopefully someone has tapped in and can clear things up.

Resurrecting this to see if anyone has added a dome clock assembly into a car that doesn't have the factory harness/plug. Just curious what you tapped into. Maybe someone can post up the wiring schematic. That would be a great help. Thanks in advance.

I don't have diagram but I tied in to radio wiring with mine. It had all the things I needed. Constant power and wire for light control and ground.

Yes, that's correct. I tapped into the area near the radio as well on our automatic GTi.
Or else there's a plug on the right side near the A-pillar.
There's a thread "Phils toy" which might explain it better.

The dimming circuit should also be tapped in there.
If I recall, you can use the dash light circuit.
There's a downloadable manual with the GT wiring here on Teamswift available for free.
