OK... So... This has to be one of the greatest sites in existance... I'm really not that much of a mechanic right now... But in the few weeks that I've been reading this board, my knowledge has increased 100x...

Anyway... Long story, short... You guys kick a whole lot of @$$...

First Question:
OK... So... A few days ago someone decided to back in to the front of my 96 BLUE Metro... They went to the dealer, found out that a replacement is like $350, and wrote me a check  ... Now, I can get a pair of headlights from a guy for like $150... But they're from a 98-01 Metro... I like those ones better than the 95-97 ones... But will they fit?? Does anyone know?? The cheapest I can find a replacement on eBay is like $130... So... It's just a question of where I should spend the money... I like the 98 ones better, but will they fit??

As for the rest of the money that was given to me for the little 'accident'... I'm sure that superf1y will end up with a portion of it... I've heard good things, and want to get in to it... Cuz, what can I say, I love this car :)

i had a 1998 with 1997 lights . the sockits were not the same so i spliced in a set of 1997 ones and tyed up the others out of the way. the 1998 used a 9007 light bulb . all so if you use high power lights ( 100 watt ) disable the daytime running lights . the bulbs don't last . i think that they use a scr to drop the voltage .

OK... Before anyone goes, and pays the $19.99 for the sockets on the website in the previous post.... Apparently, they're a pretty common item.... I was just at Wal-Mart... And they had them for $2.93... FYI :)
