Sorry this might not be in the perfect section, but this is exactly the audience for this. My GEO tape deck died, and yes, I'm old and have cassette tapes. Does anyone want to get rid of their original Geo or Chev working tape deck now that you've installed your CD/MP3 player? My car is a '97, but I imagine through 2001 would fit.

I have a Kenwood deck that I will let go after awhile. I'm not sure if it is factory though. It is one of the 1st detachable faceplates from Kenwood were half of the face comes off. I don't think I remember seeing Geo anywhere on it. I'll look when I get home and let you know.

I have a Chevy tape deck from a 98 Metro Lsi. I don't really know how much to ask for it so make an offer. It's been sitting in a closet next to a 99 Cougar tape deck for a couple years.

Sorry I don't think mine is a factory radio. I didn't see Geo anywhere on it.

I am also looking for a 'working' Factory radio. I've got one now that THINKS there's a tape in it, even when the key is out.... it drains the battery overnight (on a stock harness... go figure  ). Any help locating a stock radio would be VERY appreciated.

When I search car-parts.com they show interchangeability of 1993-1997 stereos. That implies that the 98+ stereos won't hook up to the 97 and older stereos. Anyone know for sure?
