 Post subject: bad harmonic balancer?

my old 99tro lsi has a bad one. is it a must fix now thing? and also how hard to replace?

never heard of one going bad. What is it doing? They really dont give any issues. Easy to replace, five bolts and its off. Are you sure its not the crank bolt loose? Thats common.

well the crank is moving around quite a bit. wobble wobble. i think its due to the cat being really plugged up. the girl driving it fails at all things car related. she ruins everything!!

I'd check to see if the crank bolt isn't loose and that wobble isn't the pulley beating the stuffing out of the woodruff key/keyway.

Do it ASAP or it'll ruin the crankshaft and pulley :( (if its loose)

The problem was the driver. Just like with the Cherokee, the Camry, and the Jetta. No mechanical issues, all user error.
