From looking at pics they look the same-ish. Are there any differences, is the cultus intake hole larger ? The MK5 is 45mm wide .

DOHC 16V intakes are not compatible with SOHC 16V intakes. Port size, shape, spacing, and bolt hole locations are all different.

Anybody know if the port spacing on the 16v Sohc intake matches the 3 banger?

Anyone know the difference between a four cylinder and three cylinder engine?

not quite right. the difference is one. :-P

mathmatically, difference denotes a subtractive function. =)
