Today, my 95 Metro left on the big flatbed, after loosing its battle with the cancer we know as rust  . Stricken by the all too common driver-side sub-frame rot, it held in for years. 2 years ago it went into surgery to have it removed and repaired. For awhile it looked like it had survived, a new lease on life. It gracefully passed 100k miles this spring, only to suffer the big one at 102k miles. The bottom of the 'sub-frame' peeled away at the end and the fender feasted on the new tires. Metro went back into surgery but it was determined nothing more could be done.

Oh the many memories I will have of that car, from tackling floods and braving -32 degree weather. Nearly going down a steep hill when the brakes went, to beating a VW bus in a drag race. It was my first car, 8 years in my possession (3rd owner) and never once did it let me down. Hopefully when i have my own house and a big garage I can find another 95' 4 door and restore it.

I will miss that 1.3L suzuki.

"haha, well in normal cars he would actually be right"
"But yours isn't normal.......its canadian"

I hate it when that happens. I lost a beautiful 97 and now the 98 is ready to be parted and scrapped.
