Cultus intake, throttle body and High comp pistons are ordered! Now what head to use? I love the torque the SOHC produces but I also know the dohc has way more potential! Decisions decisions!! :?

The decision has already been made. The Cultus intake doesn't bolt to the SOHC head, and if you're looking for the performance that the Cultus intake can provide, you need to go DOHC.

I am mistaken then, thanks mike!! So how about that dohc head setup......? I was leaning towards the dohc anyways!

Has anyone ever knife edged a 1.3 crank? I wanna get it done but is it worth the time and money? I wanna squezze as many reliable ponies outta it so this may help free up some throttle response! Any thoughts on this or experience?

g13bb engines share the same internals on the bottom end as the g13b gt motor right?

A mob here in Melbourne ran a g10b bottom end with titanium rods, valves, retainers, hollow billet cam, dry sumping, correct valves for 11,000rpm all balanced and motec inj and worked g16b head with 2mm bigger valves and quad 48mm throttle bodies for methanold and at 1070cc managed 196hp at around 10,000rpm.

The trick is to use the g16b head with the bigger valves, correct high comp pistons, light retainers and correct valve springs, custom camshaft, prepped rods, billet light clutch and fly and use g16b baleno inlet there are 2 types one flows more than the other but cant remember which. Theres way more involved in porting, tune and balancing the whole thing but Im sure if you had the money the g16b head with the bigger valves than g13bb should be made to outflow a gt head but camshafts are the problem as few know how to make the sohc 16v boogie. The soch 16v heads have more meat around the ports and better valve angles with better squish but rocker arms for exhausts which is no big deal if you consider the speedway 1070cc beast.
