I thought it wasn't going to get here, but after after a few extra days traveling around the west coast it finally made it today! Looks like it has everything you ever wanted to know about a Metro inside. Should be fun reading when I have the time.

they are a better resource than asking on an online forum, from my experience.

It's hard to believe there is enough parts in a Geo to warrant this heavy of a manual but I guess there is. I look forward to having all the answers soon.

Should be very useful reference when specific problems arise or questions come up. How much did it set you back?

However, taking the time, sitting down & actually reading through it strikes me as torture.

GM's simplistic drawings frequently leave much to be desired. Often this deficiency can be offset by augmenting w/Chilton and/or Haynes reference photos.

Need a '95 Owners Manual?

We've had this one since new, so it still has the original in the glovebox . ;)

The manual was $50

It's actually more entertaining that you think.

IMO asking on an online forum is actually more entertaining that you think.

When my Metro has problems that I can't figure out on my own & need to consult repair manuals, it already might not "be fun". Sometimes, while trying to diagnose symptoms using repair manuals, more serious/expensive issues than I'd imagined come to light. No "fun" at all!

Strongly suspect few can honestly claim reading thru a factory service manual cover to cover.

Would guess an overwhelming majority find reading thru specific sections, as needs arise, should be fun enough?

No need to exaggerate. Happen to have a '95 fsm & caliper on my desk.

Section 9J: Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) System, is 82 pages, less than 1/10th inch thick. The entire factory service manual is over 2" thick. Not about 1/3. Less than 1/20.

To help put it in perspective, the section that "deals with the air bag system" is "about 1/3" the size of the brake section.

Sweet! Original owner. Congrats on 17 years. Wonder how many others are on here?

Would you happen to have the original window sticker?

Been hoping to find an original owner, diamond in the rough, Chevy Metro up for adoption, on Craigslist, etc. Seen very few since skidding down the slippery slope. For sale, or not, in any condition.

My '98 Partzer got handed down thru 2 sons. Think rented mules got shown more care.

I'll look in the file, I think we kept everything from when we bought it. It was our first new car afterall. :)

I found it. I'll post it up in a new thread just in case others would like to see it.
