Just to catch u guys up to speed I did a DOHC engine swap into my 1999 swift and now I am wiring my 1999 gauge cluster direct to the fuel sending unit since the fuse box is a Gt one now and I don't have the under dash wiring for a gt. From what I can see all I should need is a ground, red/yellow wire hooked up and a power source to the cluster and it should work! But all it does is go right to full and stay there no matter if I drain the tank or not! The wiring and cluster is all the same components for the 99 and should be calibrated to the sending unit! Any thoughts? Do I need any more hooked up to the cluster? All I need is the fuel gauge to work since I have all aftermarket gauges for everything else.

1999 suzuki swift ice race car... Dohc engine conversion, 3tech 222/365 cams, bored tb, aasco lightweight flywheel, 4.56 final drive, Welded Diff, cultus intake, srd 4to1 header, spool forged rods, Megasquirt PNP, H&R sport springs and Koni yellow shocks.

B+ switched on G08-3 (blk/wht)
ground on G08-4 (blk/blu)
to sending unit on G08-5 (yel/red)

the sending unit has its own ground to the left rear of trunk/hatch. this is a black. if youre not sure if its still good you can just ground it anywhere coming out of the sending unit.

the gauge works off pwr and ground. the needle is controlled by variable resistance to ground so the sending unit must also have a good ground.

G08 is the 13 pin connector at the cluster
the other 2 are 10 pin and 16 pin. should have no effect on the fuel gauge

too many others to list
