ive been reading here for literally thousands of posts. all about turbo set ups for the mk5. there is so much info that i feel i can confidently say i will have no trouble getting my car tuned with a turbo and also have complete reliability. the only problem that i have is a personal issue. my old computer that had every useful link i have read over the last years has kicked the bucket, thus putting me back at square one.

currently i have a 1998 chevy metro
factory obd2

its nearing 160thou and time for a rebuild. comp is low in all 3 but similar. 180 cold and about 145 warm. hard starting without adding some accelerator, then smoke on start up only. still drives fine though. love the car actually. just feel its time for its day in the garage soon. probably wanna keep it between 6-8lbs based on what ive read. just enough to tow my small boat up the hills with the ac on and not be in 2nd gear.

i have read about bullet proof 4 cly clutch conversions with grinding the flywheel down, the factory clutch wont hold more than 12lbs boost, what turbos work well, 2 inch exhaust mods, turbo manifold design, and the whole lot of things associated with engine build, including vitara pistons and head porting and cam choice. this is what i want to know again, but dont wanna start over. if your bookmarks have these links could you please post them on here for me so i can also bookmark them again please.

also im having a hard time finding info on what mods to do to the computer to keep up with boost, or a controler that is also obd2 so i can take the car through emissions still

You should be able to take your old computer to a shop to get the info retrieved. I used an external hard disk enclosure for mine. $30 and I have all my old info.
