I just got a 1999 metro with the 1.3 g13bb engine in it. Stock horsepower is pretty shitty to be honest and I want to turbo it. I've done some home brews in the past with great success. My question is where to get a turbo manifold? I found this

http://www.pt2w.com/srd/index.php?main_ ... cts_id=109

Will that bold up or is it only for a g13b engine? The webpage doesn't say exactly. They also have ready-made turbo kits although pricey would be easier than me getting all the parts of a home brew.

Pretty much my question is will that manifold fit or am I SOL?

The seller has contact info listed in Florida. It doesn't hurt to ask them for ideas. A stock G13BB, other than the bare block, may not be yoir best starting point, imho

I thought my G13BBs were pretty quick, are you sure yours is running right? Do a compression test before leaping to any conclusions. superf1y did a pretty good writeup on how to get a BB going here: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=48005 I've heard good things about his cams for this engine.

That turbo kit is for a DOHC engine, it's going to be pretty close but not fit a BB. I see your biggest problem to be fuel and ignition control, anything more than a modest increase in power is going to confuse the computer, and an aftermarket engine management system is going to confuse the emissions test people.

the one on srd will fit with little modifications or so i believe. but if you want to go cheap just build a log style manifold. and looking at the rods in these things you might want to upgrade them because a wrench would be better off than them.

If you look at that srd link on the right side it shows a g13bb exhaust gasket. That turbo manifold isn't even close to the bb bolt pattern.
Just build your own.

The two bolt patterns are very close actually. I and many others over the years installed genie and other branded headers off of g13b cars onto g13bb engines. Have to change or skip one bolt but otherwise is surprisingly close to direct bolt on as far as exhaust side. They should have just left it the exact same pattern really
