I have been reading for days now and wanted to know:

Will the 1.6 Esteem head fit onto the 1.3 in my '99? Will it flow better? Was I reading correct that the vales are bigger and the ports are bigger? I've ordered the SRD header for the 1.3 and I have the entire engine at my disposal but will getting the entire intake side and the head create more problems than just bolting on the TB?

I am actually digging into my stash for my NIB springs and KYB GR2's that are/were destined for the GTi restoration. I just got a set of NITTO NEO GEN 205/40 16's for another Nissan rim application for the '99. Ordered new mirrors so that the housings can be painted. Also ordered new Hyundai accent bumper and another '96 bumper to possibly morph into a one - off custom. New headlight housings.

I'm swapping the seats from the Esteem and hopefullly will eventually find a set of Recaro's from another GTi or grab a pair from an EVO. Right now I have a pair from a Mazda MX8 but I'm not a fan really.

Many questions and more pages to read......

You get an old one, clean it up, put it back to specs and take care of it, and she'll last for years.

The valve and port and sizes are the same. I'm not sure if there's any benefit to running the 1.6 intake manifold, or if it will even fit in the Swift without any interference. There were also some differences in where the injectors were between some 1.3 and 1.6's. Some are in the manifold and some in the head.
