I am working on building up a 1.0 3-cylinder motor (1994 geo metro) and was wondering if an exhaust/turbo manifold from an older Chevy Sprint Turbo motor would work. Looking for a CHEAP way to do this since I dropped $5000.00 into the turbo kit for my 1997 VW VR6.

You will need one from a 89-91 Sprint/Firefly turbo, or try to use a close-coupled-cat manifold from a JDM motor.
I think the latter would be better.

hey robert,

i wouldn't suggest the welding modification on the cast exhaust manifold. it won't hold up and isn't worth the time and effort on the log style manifold. either use the proper stock manifold or have jardamuth, turbine tech, build you an equal length header type manifold.

i ended up with a number of mk1 exhaust manifolds while collecting parts for my t3 swap on a mk3 metro convertible and it turned into quite a hunt for a mk2 exhaust manifold which for some reason seem harder to find.
