So my motor has finally been rebuilt... Yay. Got it all back together on sunday and got her up and running after a few minor leak's

-Water tube (no silicone on the oring)
-Coolant temp sensor (loose)
-Distributor block (no gasket)
-Turbo feed line (no copper gaskets)
And sadly i had the spark plug wires out of order lol

Ran great once all those were fixed up. But noticed that the head was making a really loud clacking sound (sounded like the lifters). So loud that i could not hear my friend talking with the hood popped.

Head has been rebuilt for a while and probialy sat for a year or two.

Let me know what you guys think, car runs great besides the noise.

Mk1 heads don't have lifters. That sound is probably the valve lash needs to be adjusted.

Adjusted the valve lash. Noise almost went away. Just need to get it up to temp and redo it again (get the timing set). Also found out why the front of the engine was seeping a little oil. There was no cam shaft seal haha. Should have everything back together by tomorrow so i can start driving it to work every day.
