i just swapped a turbo into a 91 sprint i have spark but no injector pmw. dose anybody know what is causing this and how to fix it?? if i power the injectors manually it will fire but then dies. i have fuel pressure so that's not the problem i checked the injectors with a light and nothing. if somebody has a good wiring schematic that might also help.

Thank you. Turned out the injectors were stuck closed causing a short. Guess that's what happens when it's been sitting in a field for 5 years.

Now a new problem. Had it running just fine. For 2 days now. Went to take it for its maiden voyage and it was running in the garage then just up and died. Now it won't start. It has fuel with 40 psi key on. Has spark. And has compression. It want to fire but just won't go. Every now and not then I can get it on run at about 400 ram from about 10 seconds but even that is rare. It won't even go with starter fluid. I have checked and cleaned all the grounds, tried a different distributor and plugs and nothing. I'm at a loss. I am very mechanical and can normally figure this out.but not this time. So I hope the to experts have some advise for me or what to try or check next.

have you tried a new cap/rotor/plugs/wires? sometimes its the simple things, try a cap/rotor first

Just tried new cap rotor plugs and wires. No difference. Even put a bit of gas into the intake. Still nothing.

And I should also say there are no trouble codes.

Who knows what this is at the end of the fuel rail?? The regulator is at the other end bit I'm not sure what this is. It's right where the fuel goes into the rail.

that is a fuel pressure surge preventer. it helps to maintain a constant pressure within the fuel rail as the fuel pressure regulator and injectors are operating.

as it is with the n/a g10, you have to make sure that the ground wires are attached to the back of the intake manifold and that they make a good connection. use sandpaper to knock off paint and corrosion where the ring terminals are bolted on.

the injectors are a batch fired arrangement, all injectors firing in unison. check the injector harness and the engine bay wiring harness for continuity. pull a battery cable first and then unplug the engine bay wiring harness connectors from the ecu. don't try to ring out the wiring harness while it's connected to the ecu or you will run the risk of blowing the cmos components in the ecu. the 9 volt battery in a multimeter is way over the 3.3 volt cmos circuit and it can silently destroy the ecu. :blackeye:

the last thing, and one you don't want, is a bad injector driver transistor in the ecu. replacing that driver at a component level inside the ecu is a pita.

I made sure to clean all ground points on the engine because I have a one not fire because of the intake grounds. The injectors are fireing because the noide light flashes. I have tried a new air flow meter, injectors, fuel rail, computer, tps, dizzy and ignition module. And no difference. I checked the wires from the computer to the sensor plug and they are all good. Coming in at 001. By my account this thing should just fire right up. Everything is working like it should and tested with another just to make sure. There are still no codes just 12 so I know that's ok. It wants to fire but just won't catch. I also checked the timing belt to make sure it was on right. I ready to light it on fire and push it out my garage.

Only thing that kept my car from starting was the air intake temp sensor on the underside of the intake.

Well. I feel like an idiot. But I found the problem. Guess I didn't torque the cam gear on. Here is what happens. But it runs perfectly now.

there are springs on the clutch hub that tend to jump out of their slots during aggressive launches. they wedge themselves between the friction disc and pressure plate and make the clutch feel as if it is engaged all the time. :blackeye:

that would be my guess.

Except it's a new clutch and the car has not even left my garage Because I could not move it as it would not go into gear.
